What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) a lightweight XML format which is used to syndicate content.
Do I need any software to access the feeds?
In order to read the news feeds you don't need any software apart from a web browser (we assume you all ready have one as you are reading these lines!). For the radio and TV stations you may need to download and install one of the following applications:
Media Player
QuickTime
Real Player
Winamp
Can I customise the lists of feeds and save my favourite feeds?
You can create your lists of favourites news feeds, radio and TV stations, by signing for a free account.
My favourite feeds are not listed. Can you please add them?
If you are a registered member you can suggest your favourite feeds and add them to the public directory or add them only in your favourite lists.
How often are the news feeds updated?
Every time a feed is accessed we cache it for 60 minutes.
When I visit an external site the top frame sometimes disappears, why?
External sites sometimes look whether their pages are loaded within frames and remove the frames. This is usually done in order to prevent the user from being trapped in frames and hence maximising his browsing experience. A simple way to resolve the problem is to simply click the back button and you will return to MediaBind!
I am a webmaster and I want to syndicate my news, but I do not want to put any additional load on my website.
MediaBind.com only requests feed updates if there is demand for that feed. The feeds are cached for 60 minutes in order to minimise the impact on your resources.
Is it possible to browse MediaBind.com using my PDA?
Yes, a PDA-friendly version of the site can be found at: http://www.mediabind.com/pda/.
I used my PDA to access MediaBind.com but it is very difficult to read the articles from the external sites?
Although MediaBind.com does support PDA and mobile devices with small screens not every site is optimised for such devices. This is beyond our control.
